Played the Quasiproto show @ Cog Factory. Had a great time playing there because it was nice and warm. No throngs of teenage girls threw themselves at me (for once!) and that was a relief. Spent 2 days rehydrating, but it was worth it. Ed got a good photo of us playing "Macy's L-1011", and I very much want to be a part of the sequel. Got good glow factor at COG. Like to GLOW.

Unconfirmed Rizzuto sighting: I'm not entirely sure, but I think I saw one of THEM in public! I was getting petrol for my auto before work one fine morning at M&N (formerly M&H) when what vision stirred before my very eyes but a lovely bobbed blonde in black pants and flourescent green top. This apparition was carrying a Diet Pepsi (it might have been a Diet Coke) out the door and into a red Fiero with a "University of Okiboji" decal on the back window. Can't prove it, but I know what I saw.

Recent projects: Have written 2 pieces for new Shelterbelt show, but heard they cut one scene and of course it was one that SHOWCASED my music. That one was so cool, we're remixing it to add to our set. It's called "Oil of Nutmeg".

Have to remember not to forget to wake up on Aug. 10 and go to the Warehouse to record. Have to book more shows for July too.

Reynold

It can't have been a Rizzuto at M&N, because they were all with me.

Played Byte & Bite last night. People were actually there so it wasn't just another practice session. Ladd & party showed; a couple of Rizzutos showed (50% of Mulberry Lane). Forgot some parts and was generally anxiety ridden due to the presence of the women. Snapped a picture of them from stage and then gave them the camera to shoot us. Got some good shots (more photos to come). Mulberry Lane was on The River (89.7 FM) and we listened to them whilst setting up. Still in love with Al. After the gig the girls left and we went down to Frank Rizzuto's bar, Josephine's, and took a picture of his dog Jake [See our latest Featured Rizzuto]. Laughed our heads off all night.

As we were leaving Byte & Bite a gentleman stopped us and introduced himself to us as Forrest's father. Forrest is this guy we know in Fremont, but he was at camp, so the rest of the family jumped into the conversion Vanagon and came to see us without him! We gave him the tape we owed Forrest and told them to be sure not to miss us on the 26th.

Reynold

I could kick Jake's Ass.

Was eating @ New China Restaurant No. 1 Buffet (that is the actual name of the place) with Doug discussing our August Cafe!Cafe! Tour amongst other things (e.g. Who's cuter, Amber or Al Rizzuto?) when I said, "This place has great feng shui". Doug responded , "Really? I haven't tried it; maybe I'll order it next time". We laughed so hard I had to give him a dollar. We got kicked out of the Ranch Bowl after the Too Skinnee J's show. I almost beat up a bouncer to impress a young lady. But she was REALLY young, he looked too stupid to feel pain, and I use my powers for good now so we were just forcibly ejected without incident. We played Stage Right Coffee and Tea Co. last Sunday. It was very cool for these reasons: 1) Cool stage & room, 2) lots of people w/ positive reactions, 3) met A.J. Brooks from 89.7 The River and A.J. is very enthusiastic about becoming our Manager/Agent. Also looking forward to a business relationship w/ The River. Perhaps soon you will hear P.Blue bumper music or music beds on 89.7! Melissa, the entertainment coordinator for Stage Right called me later and said she heard only the best things about us and that she was looking forward to seeing us play, and then she gave us two dates in Aug (part of our Cafe!Cafe! Tour that Doug doesn't know about yet).

Doug

I do now!

Reynold

Is Melissa cute, too?

We played at Byte & Bite last night. Things were going well, until some Bozos (no offense meant to the greatest clown ever) started pestering us. "Do you know what jungle music is?" "Can I jam on your drums?" "You should play more techno, because techno is cool." Finally we couldn't take it any more, and we packed it in. I'd like to thank Heather, Emily, Josh, David, Jason, and Chet for their support, and we apologize for not playing longer.

Reynold

Heather and Emily are cute!
